This is an opportunity to view some parts of this very special building that are rarely seen. You will see rare remaining medieval paintings that would have originally covered the inside of the building with masses of colour. Experience the almost mystical acoustic of the prayer niches in St David's shrine, one of very few surviving medieval shrines. Find 14th century carving of Reynard the Fox, and more recent charming carved wood mice. Walk round the back of the high altar through the 12th century ambulatory through Trinity Chapel with its statue of Gerallt Gymro/Giraldus Cambrensis whose 800th anniversary falls in 2023.
The Cathedral Shop in the nave will be open between 11am - 4pm. Books and cards are on sale with lots more information and photographs of what you will have visited.
All visitors are also welcome to join the Cathedral services: 8am Morning Prayer and Holy Communion; 4pm Evening Prayer.
