‘St Davids Lenten Pilgrimage in a time of Covid-19:
Gorffwys, Myfyrio, Derbyn – Rest, Reflect, Receive’
As Dean Sarah explains, this online pilgrimage draws together Lenten themes that prepare us afresh to experience the fulness of Good Friday and Easter Sunday – being drawn into all that Jesus Christ has won for us in his crucifixion and gift of resurrection life beyond – with the particularly challenging circumstances of the past year, and our need to prepare for Christ to lead us beyond this pandemic.
Woven through both are insights from medieval pilgrims, who paused just before reaching St Davids, taking time to rest from their arduous travelling, reflect on what they had learnt from both outer and inner journey, and prepare for the day they’d walk into the Close and Cathedral, so that as they stood on holy ground, they would feel ready to receive all that God might have for them, before they returned to their ‘new normal’, shaped by their experiences, and by meeting God in them all.
- Watch the Dean, The Very Reverend Dr Sarah Rowland Jones give an introduction to our lenten pilgrimage.

Our Lenten journey begins with our Ash Wednesday 6pm service, and then continues on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays at noon, and through our 11.15am Sunday services.
