Welcomer (part time)

Could you say hello to 200,000 people?  We are seeking a Welcomer (Visitor Services Assistant) to meet, greet and encourage donations from our visitors. This is an essential front line role that sets the tone of the experience of our visitors at St Davids Cathedral. You'll be trained to answer a multitude of questions ranging from when the Cathedral was built to where the Refectory is.

You'll need to have an outgoing and confident personality.  Ideally, you should have previous experience in a customer facing role: work in retail or heritage/visitor attractions will be especially useful.

This is a part time role, working Saturdays 10am to 4.30pm (4pm in the low season), Sunday afternoons 12.30pm to 3pm.  Until the end of this year, you'll also be working on Mondays from 10am to 4.30pm (4pm in the low season).

Hourly pay of £12.71.

For the full job description and an application form, please contact Judith Leigh, Chief Operating Officer, 01437 720202, email judith@stdavidscathedral.org.uk

Cleaner (part time)

Join our small team of cleaners who keep the Cathedral looking smart!  We are seeking a cleaner with previous commercial cleaning experience, and who takes a real pride in their work and is keen to make a contribution to the Cathedral community.  It's not the most glamorous role, with lots of toilet cleaning involved, but it's essential in ensuring our 200,000+ visitors per year have a pleasant time with us.

This is a 20-22.5 hours per week role (number of hours varies according to the season), working 5 mornings a week Saturdays to Wednesdays, starting between 8am and 9am.  We are open to job sharing (e.g. you might work alternate weekends).

Hourly pay £12.71.

For the full job description and an application form, please contact Judith Leigh, Chief Operating Officer, 01437 720202, email judith@stdavidscathedral.org.uk
